Has is not the operative word. Has on paper YES - As liquid assets NO - Condom failure vs end result is currently a daughter who has no clue I am the Bio dad and I funded 6 years at UC Berkeley for her premed which was no big expense - about $35/K yr paid each year and on campus housing so other expenses no big deal as no car required.

Harvard Med and its also true for Harvard Law - ALL 100% FEES For 5 yrs Minimum paid up front with NO on campus housing allowed for the 5 year MD program and NO roommates for off campus - In Cambridge Mass a studio apt is $3550/month and is unsuitable for a Med student. Its allowed but just not suitable so I ended up buying her a house. Had to buy her a new car2. In theory when she is done living there I can sell the house or keep as investment.

Harvard is very cool cause IF I owned a chicken ranch or owned Horses or Cattle or Pigs Harvard wood take ownership of. Even work out a deal where they pay me to manage what the now own - AND THEY will have it appraised and they take out a loan on the horses to fund education

They took most of my Qualcomm IBM Intel Microshit as collateral and they assume the risk of stock crashes and they let me buy it back for exactly what it was apparised at (published market value) and if that stock goes UP and all sure have - They will sell me that stock for the original lower number

Its one hell of a deal IF I can work my ass off to raise the money to buy it all back. Prior to discovery of need to fund daughters MD which in her case is 6 yrs premed 5 years to get a MD but to practice that means Intern-resident of MORE years and for surgery its about 11 years

I wood be ok cept prior to being asked to help fund her MD - Market had crashed and I bought Condos and new houses and well that is all tl;dr

So bottom line - I live in a super house n drive a very nice car and eat well and have lots of fun THAT is not all that costly - Cash I can put my hands on? Not so much so good as in past and all cause Top of the line the very best Trojan condom Failed
