I fear that something as draconian as a public hanging may only serve to equate us with the reptilians, rather than scaring their sympathizers straight. I think it serves our purpose better to leave the judgment to the public at large.

Back to the drawing board for what forms of deterrence and torture are acceptable with PR and the public.
Ya'know this whole conflict might've been resolved by now if we weren't battling for the hearts and minds of the populace too.
Someday the feline forces might deign to talk to humanity at large and blow this whole thing wide open... but for the foreseeable future it appears they'll remain silent sentries in this war.
