Does UK have the tipping culture? I know in places such as Japan they don't have such thing as tipping, or it's not common.

They see hundreds of people every day, and restaurants employ multiple wait staff. Unless you go there with very high frequency, the chances of getting the same waiter/waitress soon enough for them to remember you just by face is very low.

Ah I see. That never happened to me though. Normally we paid for what we ordered, split the bill between the number of diners or someone paid in full if it was preplanned. I guess that's a businessman culture
