Topic: Getting a new chan off the ground

I just started a new chan about a week ago and now I want to know how to generate traffic. It's a chan specific to the state that I live in so I've made boards for the three major universities, as well as a few general topic boards. I've been trying to shill for it on local news sites, but so far that hasn't been incredibly successful. I'm doing the same in some local FB groups but that hasn't been incredibly successful either.

Do any anon's have some suggestions? I'm open to new ideas.

For a similar chan here in FL, I would blog a bit about weird news in the state, and just have the blog on the chan.
Then spread ~~clickbait~~ links to the articles (with fun titles like "Notorious Satanic Sex Cult Active and Recruiting Alligators in the Everglades... to Fuel UFOs? The Answer Will Give You AIDS!") via hootsuite, reddit, /soc/, etc.

Nothing really new about this approach.

Then after you have two active users start yelling at them about not doing enough to help the website and maybe accuse them of being part of the aforementioned cult and actively conspiring against the website.

That'll be $100,000.00USDS.

There is no way to advertise a chan without coming off as some kind of mentally disturbed so go FULL FORCE and wear a funny costume and smoke weed with college students and drop your chan on them and the power of your personality alone has to be strong enough to hook em.
