So, my teacher is wrong and it's causing problems for people and I don't know what to do.
I probably won't do anything even if given direction.+Bat Nugget is !grate/DTHM — 10 years ago, 23 minutes later[T] [B] #495,307

Ok. But damn it's free! I rarely use my desktop anyways why go through the hassle. Thanks, cause I really didn't want to go through the hassle mostly because I'm lazy, but now I could just say I got expert advice online advicing against the upgrade.

@OP
Your teacher is disseminating false or inaccurate information?

I think he's confused about what resolution and dimensions are for images. He tells people to open things in Photoshop and increase the resolution from 72dpi to 200 dpi to increase the quality, and then save the image out as a psd for use with InDesign, but this isn't actually helpful. Increasing resolution in Photoshop scales the image up, but the quality remains the same as the source image. The only way to truly increase the resolution of an image is to vector it. Otherwise you can only hope to track down a higher quality version of the same image, ie. trace it back to the original source file.

Maybe an anonymous letter to his employer, outlining his misconceptions.

I probably should but I won't. I'm OK with 8.1 now, I just didn't want to miss out on 10, just in case it was much better than 8. Kinda like xp vs vista, but just from every thing I've been reading, and fuckalms' advice, it doesn't seem to be that much better.
