i'm not sure the of the reasoning behind this debate. if someone writes source material for ambiguous locations and races for the characters are ambiguous, shouldn't somebody just be looking for the closest color to the original material? and since most chinks draw their cartoons with white skin, i don't see why it's a big issue. for damn sure you don't see any natural red-heads in japan but if a live action bleach is made, ichigo can't be a red-headed?
