After the grate CATaclysm the citizens (and slave castes) of the New Eden will shed many of the old world traditions. Including monetary systems.
During this transitional period which some will call the rapture, apocalypse, mahapralaya, end of days, and so on, the most common sort of private and business transactions will be done through a barter system. To begin with precious metals will be useful bartering tokens, but towards the end of this period 'lead will become more precious than gold'.
Unfortunately any survivors will only be used as compost material with a few exceptions.
The Torch Carriers (preassigned citizens of the New Eden) will be riding out this period in their designated bunkers and missile silos across the globe.

Most persons and organizations that could be described as neo-confederate may have views/values in line with the 4th Reich and WAIFU Project. So naturally there's bound to be some overlapping support, even if FEL doesn't hold all of the same views.

FEL, under no circumstance, would ever do anything that would make it's agents easily identifiable to groups who are against our cause. The person in question was probably trying to look cool in front of their friends. This probably cost them their life, as there are several groups\agencies, who do not want to see FEL succeed in it's goals. FEL would never use something so simple as a means of identification. We mostly stick to secret handshakes, and Satanic rituals.

Although at public facilities staff have chips implanted.
