Apart from the snarkiness, I think Cat meant to say was that many people have been saying the world would end or prophesying/predicting the end of the world for a very v. long time.
Tbf I think the world will still be here in 100 years, but humanity? Humanity might very well be gone in the next 100 years. Individuals may or may not be stupid, but humanity as a whole? 'Fucking stupid'. So I'm not sure what they were getting at there.
Regardless, we can only hope the end of humanity comes in our lifetimes.
FEL and SkyCat may very well be taking some of the first steps towards that goal.

Some might survive, but I doubt mostbunkers vaults could support their occupants through the worst of it. Even if it was very sophisticated it'd have to be able to sustain life for years, produce food, deal with waste, keep air breathable, contamination to a minimum, and so on. Not to mention just the mental stress from being in one of these things.

Still let's remain blissfully optimistic about the fall of man. If it was the peak of the cold war, it could happen, but yeah it's an unrealistic scenario today.
Even if NK has the nukes, they don't have intercontinental capabilities, so nuking the Korean peninsula is the best they could hope for the foreseeable future anyway. Despite them being ready to go to war with the US, etc, etc, re: DPRK propaganda and sabre rattling. Although NK doing something stupid could still push things towards a WWIII scenario, right? RIGHT?
Still fun to daydream about how it might go down.
