After 10 hours, I have completed my house of torture.

Home to Maddy Deathdealer, complete with an entire floor devoted to torture. With shit brown walls, cold metal floors, and windows just big enough for victims to peek out of.

Looking to thin out the %1?
This home is located in the fanciest neighborhood in all of Sims 3 land, making the %1 easy targets.

Soon I will throw my first party, and the fun can really begin. Will report back periodically, with updates on my experience.

It's because @OP has the graphics turned down low. They must not have a beefy computer to run the bloat that is The Sims 3.

You're making it sound like you need some sort of super computer to run this game at max. This picture is with every setting maxed out, except detailed lots. The only notable slow-down is load time at start up.

Specs:
AMD A8-7410 APU 2.2 Ghz
1Gb dedicated VRAM
16Gb DDR3 RAM
14.9Gb usable

My APU was the only thing I was unsure of.

Oh man! I NEVER played the sims unless i had all the quality as high as itd go, its so damn beautiful !

I can't stand lag, graphics are less important to me. I didn't want to overwork my APU, they're designed to run as hot as they possibly can.

They aren't mine, just random sims I met. I added them to my family, using a debug console command. After that, they couldn't escape by using their sim voodoo.
