Absolutely. Satan/Lucifer/Prometheus/etc was always the hero. Bringer of light, the one who stole fire from heaven to give to mankind, he who rebelled against a wrathful and jealous demiurge.

Please remember that Satan is our redeemer and the first step towards our salvation was when Eve ate from the tree of knowledge. There was no wickedness in the act, it was an act of kindness. Really take the movie the Matrix, in this case Morpheus is sort of like the serpent/lucifer/satan and the red pill is the apple from the tree and Neo is Eve and guess who the demiurge is?
