SAN DIEGO – A woman arrested after she allegedly set a man on fire told police she was sexually assaulted by the victim, an officer said.
"We do have our sex crimes unit out here to investigate some statements some allegations it’s really early in the investigation at this point," said Lt. Andra Brown, San Diego Police Department.
Police were sent to Brookhaven Road and South Meadowbrook Drive in the North Bay Terraces neighborhood at about 7:30 a.m. after someone called 911 to report a car fire, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson. When they arrived they found a man suffering from burns to his shoulders and arms.
"I saw a man run out of the car on fire and at that point I looked away I couldn’t look at it," said Twila Tarkington, witness.
Tarkington has lived in the Meadowbrook Apartments Complex for 15 years saw the entire incident from her kitchen window.
"It was like something out of a TV script and I didn’t believe it at first, but it truly happened," said Tarkington.
Twila said she heard the woman screaming.
"She was screaming that he had violated her," said Tarkington.
Twila said when police arrived, the woman surrendered immediately.
"I just felt she has to be awfully mad at him in order for that to have happened," said Tarkington.
Two teams, MAST (Metro Arson Strike Team) and the Sex Crimes unit are investigating.
"There’s some different interests at work here looking for evidence, statements and things like that," said Lt. Brown.[/]

I'm assuming that crispy over there sexually assaulted this woman, said woman then decided to immolate him after the fact, got some stuff together, and did just that.
Really, it would've been better to have just shot the guy, then she could've said it was self defense, even Commiefornia has castle doctrine and allows for a stand your ground defense. Unfortunately most will see this is as premeditated murder, and I'm thinking she'll probably end up doing some time for this, but maybe the judge and jury will feel like justice was served and go easy on her. I hope so. Although if it happened in her home she might have a chance at a little more protection under the law, maybe there's something else in Commiefornia law that can help her though.
