I don't know how common it is. I do know about the military. My dad served in Vietnam. He said that every unit finds a "sissy" - the weakest most submissive male. And then they sexually torture him. Even when women are available! He says that's the way the military goes. Sadly man on man rape in the military is far too common than what's lead to believe. Just google "military man sexual assault" and the results are endless. It's hush hushed a lot more that male on female rape due to it going against the stereotype of gay soldiers simply wanting to defend their country.
