Only recently out of bankruptcy.
34.6 percent of residents live below the poverty level, making San Bernardino the poorest city for its population in California, and the second poorest in the US next to Detroit.
So its just one step up from Detroit.
lol

I guess the terrorists knew nobody would car if Detroit got razed.

That explains it.

Youre way off. SB doesn't make any "poorest cities" list.
Government established poverty income level is listed, based on 2012 US Census estimates.
Detroit, Michigan 42.3%
Cleveland, Ohio 36.1%
Cincinnati, Ohio 34.1%
Miami, Florida 31.7%
Fresno, California 31.5%
Buffalo, New York 30.9%
Newark, New Jersey 30.4%
Toledo, Ohio 30.1%
Milwaukee, Wisconsin 29.9%
St. Louis, Missouri 29.2%

The bk part is supposedly comming to an end.
@previous (D)
Crime in SB is pretty bad, but it's mostly contained to certain "neighborhoods". Overall its a pretty nice place to visit. Really though when people hear San Bernardino, they think of the entire county with its mountains, lakes, deserts, and of course Big Bear. So yeah, far from shitty.it
