Please don't post bert's number. All said and done, he needs help coming out of the closet, not harassment.

Obviously there's something wrong in his life that makes him feel he must act in such a way. Probably closet homo.

It's a CA number, not a TN number. If it was actually Bert's number, this would be a grate thread.

Downey, CA
Truly and I mean TRULY a horrid city to be near. You wood have to feel sorry for the bastard that ends up there.
Growing up I lived lots of miles south of there - I had a terrific job as a teen at a Liquor store in Downey. Worked as a part time clerk in a supermarket that closed at 9PM - So the 2nd job was ideal.
Store got robbed 9 times in just one year of working there.

What? It's a nice middle class community. Seriously, I drive through there all the time and it's a nice mostly white suburb of LA. Several million dlar homes also. You might be thinking of Lakewood, or the area that borders black part of LB.

It sounds shitty. I've only worked at one place that was robbed, and I wasn't there for it, neither was the only other male employee. Apart from internal losses, that's the only actual robbery at any place I've ever worked that I'm aware of.
Although one of my client's lots were recently robbed, all they stole was copper though, they might've got away with maybe a hundred dollars worth of copper, if that, but they did about 6k worth of damage. Probably just some tweaker. There was a decent amount of cash and a gun inside the office safe, and thousands of dollars worth of office equipment, but they didn't actually break into the office, just stripped a bunch of copper off of whatever they could, mostly from an A/C unit on the main office and a little off a lot model. Unfortunately it was a relatively new lot and they didn't have a proper security system and cameras set up yet, but they do now.

I will have to take a look on web re Downey - Left the area when I got married and perhaps the city cleaned up its act.
Lakewood was the city I grew up in and my High School had just one black person a girl and she was clearly the most popular. - Have not returned to Lakewood except for one Picnic for a after class re-union event. 20 years ago.

Copper gets stolen around here - Few years ago I end up with no water pressure - Street copper ripped out - I have the main connection rigged with a fun bit of shocking set up just in case they try that again.

I'm in my early thirties, I currently have a friend who lives near Stonewood mall and had relatives that live there as a kid. I just can't remember any time that downey wasn't considered a really nice city. Perhaps you're thinking of bell gardens?
Lakewood is also a nice city overall, but the parts that border long beach have larger black presence and more crime. It's still largely white and some mexican, though. They also have some really nice million dollar homes.

I am 101% sure it was Downey. Close by was North American Aviation which is now Boeing. One of my first job offers was from that company - Horrid facilities with no air conditioning and test equipment wood shut down in heat wave which was also on the day I took a tour for my job interview.
Night shift of that company feed our liquor store lots of biz
And yea those million dollar homes in Lakewood - I lived in the brand new homes near by and had a few friends who lived in the Million dollar ones - With pools and pool parties - and changing rooms that well if the parents of the girls had a clue back them
Funny how one became a Nun later LoL - Damn she sure was built. - But yes the edge of city to West was a mean part of Long Beach.
And to think I could have saved a Nun from the convent - She told me so -

Hah, I don't think they'll go for booby trapping anything on their property due to liability issues, but for your own place, it's a grate idea, especially if it's inconspicuously placed. Seems like copper has always been a popular target for petty thieves and other ne'er-do-wells unfortunately, undoubtedly my client would've much rather just thrown them the hundred bucks versus dealing with the cost and aggravation their copper stripping caused. What'd you rig the main connection with? I'd love to see pics if you get a chance.

My friends dad used to work at that Boeing plant, it closed in 1999, they now have movie studio and a best buy there. It's all on Lakewood blvd, big street with heavy traffic, I can see how a liquor store could easily robed. Probably the one on the corner of stuart n grey?

Below the surface pressure sensors. Sets off a spark gap high voltage circuit arrangement. Its a high frequency pulse so it does not get shorted out to ground by the copper itself.
Not deadly at all - Just a shocking deterrent.
I no it works cause I tested it out on myself a couple of times until I got the results I needed. Mean as fuck shock

I guess the next time I am on my way to something in LA I will have to get off the freeway and take a look at area.
That original plant was a massive operation. They built monster space craft boosters and full on fighter jets. I never did get a tour of any of that. Just the electronics stuff.
Lakewood Bvd was where the store was located. Don't remember the crossing street. Do remember one time on way to work at a stop light. Along side a Highway Patrol cop - We looked at each other and we both pressed pedal to metal at green light. I don't think I got much past the speed limit but it was a full on drag race with the cop - Do not remember who won - I also figure he was one of the cops that came to liquor store rescue prior to but for sure do not really no.
Also one time got pulled over with red lights on my way home from working grocery store - Cop got out with gun drawn on me - He expected me to remember him as one of the cops who came to another store robbery - He was joking - I did not care for that joke but said nothing

Dick move by the cop.
Back in the late 90's me and 3 buddies all high school age were pulled over by downey pd. We were 3 white boys one mexican and not one of us looked remotely like a gangbanger. But when they found out we were all from the bell south gate area, they searched us our car and demanded to know gang we were affiliated with. They were the least street smart cops I've ever encountered.
I think they felt bad or emberassed afterwards cause they let us drive away without giving a ticket, even though my buddy driving only had a learners permit.
