And for those who march to the beat of Jesus the Jew - Yom Kippur is the ultimate Jewish happy holiday.Personally I make it a point to eat a quality pork dinner item to celebrate - Circumcised Piggy is probably advised.
Looking up wot you need to do in prep:
No eating and drinking
No wearing of leather shoes
No bathing or washing
No anointing oneself with perfumes or lotions
No marital relations
Notice it says nothing about extra marital relations
Wiki says there are Christians who also celebrate Yom Kippur so they do not have to pay the extra costs for a Kosher Pig.
Apparently I missed last weeks Jewish holiday which lasted a full week.

I celebrate all kinds of Holidays. Festive events with all the food n drink - adds to life. I look forward to a Buddhist event mostly for the drum music and food food - Udons of several varieties including those made with a bit of meat when hosted my Japanese Buddhists. Chinese new years is a blast.
Frankly I DO NOT celebrate Jewish holidays re memories that go beyond childhood and can detail such later.
So perhaps Anon D did not have image capabilities and view the Roasted Pig?
But in Truth I am the last person to be aware of when a Jewish Holiday happens. Since them Jews do not follow the regular calendar no one can no in advance the date of the next holiday. Found out on one of the TV late night talk shows or news.
Just my Sarcasm bUTTTTttt in fact I do make it a point to have a dinner item with Pork or Shell Fish as a counterpoint to such Jewish Holidays
