Most of my stuff is Asus and HP apart from aftermarket components, I don't really car either way, I reserve my hate for the carbon based life forms behind the brands, not the machines themselves.

The only two tech companies I've really never had any problems with are Asus and Logitech... HP monitors are fine too. Although I did spill some Sprite on one of my Logitech keyboards... and then threw it in the oven on warm... and forgot about it for a bit once. Drugs may or may not have been involved. That was years ago though, I'm sure my current Logitech keyboard would last much longer in the oven, but there's only one way to find out, brb.

Macs have a better operating system than a PC.
But they're built so you can't fix them if they break.
If you have a PC and your CPU fan breaks, you buy a $5 fan and replace it.
If you have a Mac and your CPU fan breaks, you cannot open the thing up. You have to pay $200 to a technician to open your unit up and replace it. While he's there, he will snoop through all of your personal files.
There's lots of horror stories of hardware problems on Macs.
I'd recommend http://www.hackintosh.com/ . Install a pirated MacOS on a compatible computer.
