Correct.

I still haven't watched those videos. Would you like to do it for me?

No, I hate watching YT on a small screen, and I seldom use the desktop since my old XP died out on me.

Reinstalling is a good way to fix a broken OS.

Or just a repair disc even.

I've never used a repair disc, but as I understand they usually are more of a "factory reset" type deal where it reinstalls all the various promo shit that PCs come with when you buy a prebuilt.

I've never used one either, but from what I've read, they also restore system files, like win32.

@470,693 (FuckAlms !vX8K53rFBI)
Yeah I tried that, and after a few minutes it died completely, no power at all. It was at least 7 years old. This was last year and I couldn't find win7 in a retail store so went with 8.1, and it's just really bad. Never really used 7, but to go from XP to 8 really sucked.

·Dr.G Louie Ph.D !uSk4BCgU1.10.9 years ago, 8 minutes later, 4 hours after the original post[T] [B] #470,743

7 is way better than 8, or 10.

@470,735 (D)
So the machine works with 8.1, or you got a new machine?

·Anonymous D10.9 years ago, 7 minutes later, 6 hours after the original post[T] [B] #470,790

@470,743 (Dr.G Louie Ph.D !uSk4BCgU1.)
That's what everybody tells me.

@previous (FuckAlms !vX8K53rFBI)
I got new one, but I rarely use it. Really wanted a one with win7 but all the retail stores were out, and I've had trouble with a laptop I bought on amazon and had to return and wait weeks so didn't want to order online.

Try torrenting 7 and see if you can install that on it.

You'll have better sucess if you can burn the Iso to DVD.

I'd probably fuck it up. As a matter of fact I had to do a complete reinstall about a month ago, after some windows update messed everything up. I even looked up that particular update and alot of people were having the same problem. Nothing was working, tried restoring to an earlier date and that failed.

I'm just gonna wait and see how 10 turns out and install that instead.

It's pretty incomplete at this point, don't get your hopes up.

I don't know how else he would install it after torrenting...?

I'm pretty sure there's some convoluted way to make an imaged thumb drive from .iso. I could be wrong.

There is, but the only reason to go that method is for netbooks that don't have a CD drive.

Fucking netbooks, just include a DVD-RW drive.
