No, it hasn't. It's more of a hipster trend than a real influential force. Until governments start changing their policies and entire cultures start shifting their lifestyles to fit Eastern philosophies, Western has clearly won.

Well, Americans are becoming more sympathetic and empathetic, as they leave their Christian doctrines behind in favor of more new age philosophies inspired by Eastern ones.

Sympathy and empathy are just as much a part of Western philosophy as they are Eastern philosophy. Ignoring the fact that Christianity does not represent Western philosophy as a whole, it is still the dominant religion in the world, and those who are abandoning Christian theologies are not flocking to Eastern theologies. They're mostly flocking towards atheism while still living by Western ideals. Meanwhile, East Asian cultures are becoming far more "Westernized" at a far greater rate than a few hipsters over here trying to adopt Eastern lifestyles (which they typically grow out of).

Depends on the period, post axial age there have been significant contributions from both East and West, yet I would be inclined to agree with Borg inasmuch that Western philosophers have had a grater impact on the world. Hegel, Descartes, Sartre, and so on and so on.
