True story.
I was at a Costco recently. There was bad parking as usual so I had to park far away. On the side of the building in the allow was a woman in her 30s, male about 19 and small child. The three were hanging out in that alley there when the woman suddenly pulled this big robe thing that had been hanging down her neck... she pulled it up over her head and almost covered her head. It then slanked back just mostly covering her face. She was brown but there's lots of brown people all over the place thanks to mass immigration. Well she looked homeless. It was cold and she looked like a homeless person with a child and maybe a younger brother. Huddling for warmth...
I just figured she was homeless. WHEN SUDDENLY!!!.... she got down on the ground, faced directly north and started praying! Oh my god! She's not homeless, but a devout Muslim praying 5 times a day. It was about sunset and I think that's a time they pray.
According to Wikipedia's Salat article: "Under the Hanbali School of thought, a person who doesn't pray 5 times a day is an unbeliever. The other three Sunni schools of thought say that the person who doesn't pray five times a day is an unholy sinner. Those who prescribe to the Hanbali view cite a hadith from Sahih Muslim that states that prayer is a dividing line between a believer and a non-believer. For Muslims of the Sunni and Mustaali Ismaili persuasions obligatory salat is prescribed at five periods of the day. These are measured according to the movement of the sun. These are: near dawn (fajr), after midday has passed and the sun starts to tilt downwards / Noon (zuhr or ẓuhr), in the afternoon (asr), just after sunset (maghrib) and around nightfall (Isha)."
