Recently yes.
Guy I surf with invited me over for dinner. His wife served some kind of made up so called Cajun dish. Some kinda creame sauce over noodles. Gummy and just cause some red pepper was added she called it Cajun.

I've eaten at various ethnic friends/ co-workers homes. Mexican, Korean, Italian, from the US south, and it's always been really good. The only exception was a Phillipino co-worker. The family was very gracious, but the food was awful. Some type of meat in a red sauce served over egg noodles. Everyone kept asking how the food was, and I just had to smile and lie. They even served me seconds, big portions too. Really nice people, though.

Have several Filipino friends and their home cooking ROCKS. Fusion of Spanish Chinese - Trips to Philippine islands with memories of much great eats. Cannot remember any dishes with egg noodles. Pancit which is a famous major dish of usually pork is served with very thin rice noodles. Red sauces are very common.
