@previous (E)Well if we're going to acknowledge that autistic transgenders are fakes, then we must acknowledge that transgenderism itself is only a manifestation of schizophrenia and/or other affective disorders, or at least traits found in all of them. Look at the Cohen E-S scale.

I was mostly lampooning Anonymous E's (ironically autistic enough) absolutism.
Even assuming E-S theory holds, it must exist, for it isn't like there aren't any autistic females. I've always been under the impression that the scale for neurological sex is simply pushed leftwards in autists, so in relative terms (probably the most neurotypical of Aspie males would fall into this theoretical Aspie tranny category), it's possible.
The scale is mostly discredited, though. MRIs weren't able to reveal neuro-masculinization in autistic males and only slightly in females. It fails to account for the higher incidence of schizophrenia and psychosis in autistic populations, suggesting that its etiology isn't in neurological gender. Interestingly, though, ASD-gender dysphoria co-morbidity seems to entail a higher incidence of psychosis.
I would suggest that in America at least (most other country's jurisdictions wouldn't allow an autist or schizophrenic to transition; my own country, having read guidelines, has a bit more of a discretionary policy but leaning towards the European blanket-proscription model), the obscurity of defined gender roles has been mis-internalized by these autistic males in-particular. From this alone, the prevalence is therefore likely over-inflated at this point.
That doesn't mean that other systems- particularly in Europe, which suppress these tendencies with toxic neuroleptics - are necessarily doing the right thing, either.
Still, spiteful trannies will hiss about how so pure they are versus the autists, until the nature of their condition, ever prematurely terminal, hits them through suicide. That's about the only recompense anyone gets from their counter-leveraging to forge a new niche of privilege for themselves (hate-speech and discrimination protected group status, not to mention affirmative action/positive discrimination, depending on where you live).
