Bluehime_scribblenauts.pngI was sleeping and I dreamed that I woke up. This much has happened before, on several occasions. However, I woke up in my grandparents house. My grandparents recently moved and their house was sold to a flipper. I've seen video and photos of what the flipper has done with the interior, but I haven't been inside myself. Anyway, I woke up in their house as it was before they moved out -mostly anyway. Some of the furniture was arranged differently, but it was still distinctively their house. I'm immediately aware that this is a dream, since I know the house doesn't look anything like this anymore. I've been aware of my dream state before in dreams and it's no big deal. So I get up and head to the kitchen and wonder to myself if I'll always be stuck in this mindset of what their house was. I'm hungry and look in the pantry and fridge for something to eat and see that there isn't any cereal, but there's a hamburger in the fridge. I'm aware of being alone in the house, and decide to just have the burger since nobody will judge me. So I sit at the kitchen table and eat the burger and then I feel like I need something more. I look in the pantry and notice that there is now cereal in there. Now, my dreams are always always strictly bound to the general laws of reality. Even the weird ones with magical powers don't really bend the rules much. It's a bit of a killjoy to be honest. But now I'm in a self-aware dream where things have changed. Suddenly and arbitrarily something I subconsciously looking for has been found in a place where it had previously not been. I'm immediately aware that this has never happened to me before and decide to push it and see what happens. I close the pantry and think to myself "come on, potato chips!". I open the door and lo and behold, a bag of Ruffles is there. Feeling triumphant, I grab the bag and decide to go watch TV in the family room since nobody else is here. I woke up shortly after sitting down on the couch.

So yeah, I just asserted control over my first dream state. And now I'mma go back to sleep.

Hey you lucid dreamed. That's wonderful. When I lucid dreamed about food, it was the most tastiest thing reality can't compare. Anyway sounds like you had fun. You shouldn't follow the rules of reality when you lucid dream. Next time take your ruffles and jump up. Youll jumo high and go on a nice trip in the sky enjoying the view with ur chips. yeah. Reality sucks

I've had those types of dreams. Jump up and you soar high.

I've had dreams where I can start running, and leap, and sort of fly.

Then I've had the ones where I'm trying to run, but no matter how hard I try, some kind of force is holding me back, I'm moving, but very slowly.

I frequently have "running in slow motion" dreams. It's very frustrating.

Not to be critical but I feel like you may not be making the most of your dream-time superpowers.

lucid dreaming is great, ive done it for 2 years since ive been able to get a grasp on it, although now my new favorite thing to do is get really fuckin tired but listen to white noise with some underlaying talking in the background, just enough so whenever you catch yourself drifting into REM sleep you can hear the speaking, eventually if you time it right the lucid dreaming will become much -much- more vivid and a lot more fun, your brain has to get into this weird state though in the sense that physically your brain is "dreaming" but you have your eyes open, its really cool

It was only my first time, I was kind of stunned that it even worked. I've occasionally tried to control my dreams in the past and had no success.

I'll give you a pass this time. For your next lucid dream I expect a grater conjuration. Maybe have Vladimir Putin in a knife fight with a couple polar bears in your grandparent's pantry. Something like that.

I did sort-of lucid dream 3 or 4 times, usually by the time I have control of my dream I was already awake. But there was one time, my dream was like I'm in some sort of VR shooting game, but instead of shooting terrorists I had the console opened and typing I forgot what. I found it doesn't make sense and realize I was dreaming, by that time I can simply open my eyes and walk off bed, but the dream was still like going on in my head, so I thought fuck morning and thought of typing the following command in my game-in-dream:

godmode on

Then I flew upto the middle of the map and dbz ki blasted the whole enemy base

10/10 would dream again, then the dream felt more like my crazy thought than a dream, and that was the sign I am too awake to keep dreaming so I woke up.

Yeah that happens to me sometimes, I'll be conscious and the visual has faded out but my brain is still trying to force the dream to go on.
