oops..that was just the teaser link...actual story is just linked to from gokunming...story is four months old...and headline is: Thousands of smuggled cats from China feared buried alive in Vietnam.
apparently the cats were destined to be used for human consumption in China....then were 'rescued' but then no one had planned on what to do with all those cats...and well..things did not turn out great for them..
