Dont know if you care, but paying off credit cards actually lowers your score.

Quote from my bank is they award 100 points to my credit score every 6 months if my credit card is paid off after being used. This is in the UK, not sure how it works in the US assuming you're a yank or some other

Not carrying a balance on an open account lowers your score. Staying within 30 percent of total available credit is optimal.
The more YOU know, and youre welcome..

I currently have 18 credit cards with zero balance and these are cards that just sit in wallet or in a drawer
People have enough to dox me on my credit score and see that its impossible for the zero balance rule to be true cause I am at max possible score currently.
4 different credit reporting agencies may be more but I keep track of 4 and they do have different rules but for sure in all cases zero balance even on cards I use often does NOT affect my score at all
