It's ok, lots of homeless people aren't really homeless. There was a girl in my German class that used to go to another city and panhandle when she wanted to go shopping.

So here is my story re homeless girl and she still haunts me on occasions - When I had a condo in Marina Del Rey on water - Lots of boats people lived on and even a few who staked out boats never used so they could turn them into free house boats for a while - A guy who does this runs into a homeless girl and invites here to live on wot is a small sail boat. He tells me it was on a super stormy nite and she needed shelter and said yes.

He soon discovers she is in need of meds - very depressed and just not rite in head but never makes a noise nor will converse with him on boat - Plus for sure she is not about to be touched by him.

He would drink a bit and then make moves and she wood leave for a few hours until he sobered up.

One night it was super rain and he was drunk so she rang my door bell and asked if she could just sit down. Would not accept food or drink - I told her she could use the couch and was welcome to stay the nite and I went to bed.

They were discovered by boat owner months later and had to leave. Every now and then I wood run into her on the street many miles away - She looked as super dirty as a truly homeless person wood - Probably 23 or so at time and head always down to sidewalk - She wood not make eye contact with me. Felt sorry for her but clearly there was nothing anyone could do to help her without sending her to a funny farm.

I wood have given her spare change but she was probably the type who wood only go through trash bins for food etc.
