Lots of people need a crutch. Also a lot of Christian churches have some terrific Rock or Blues/Soul music

Greek Churches offer some serious Great chunks of Bread with communion and baskets of bread chunks as you exit the Church - Just watch your back nor ever bend over near a Greek Church

There are numerous social support networks available within both the LGBT and wider secular communities. If they need a "crutch", as you put it, why would they waste their time with a morally bankrupt institution that doesn't even deserve their patronage?

This one is reminiscent of Muslims and damn I will have fun with it because apparently only Men who are Virgins can make it to heaven
