No strawman here. Any assertion of absolute truth must be backed up by evidence. This is why most atheists say "I don't believe in the existence of a god", rather than "no god exists".

For example: Matt Dillahunty and the crowd at Atheist Experience never assert there is no god, as they know that the burden of proof would immediately be placed on them to prove their assertion. Instead, they choose their words very carefully to avoid any burden of proof.

Religion was created by idiots afraid to die. And by asserting there is a "god", it supposedly creates a peaceful feeling that there's an afterlife.

The only afterlife we will enjoy, is pushing weeds out of the ground.
