Topic: New stuff I get to buy.

Just spent $950 on new tires, getting new bumpers tomorrow. Will post before and after pics if you want.

I got new tires a few weeks ago, but it's my heating and cooling that really need work.
+Anonymous C — 11.7 years ago, 1 hour later, 1 hour after the original post[T] [B] #433,663
My daily driver started pissing power steering fluid today, so it's in the shop now but I won't hear back until monday. Hopefully it's just a hose or some nonsense.
@OP
Post pix, comrade.

I don't understand how a cat could survive the icy roads of Siberia this time of year without a working A/C. That sounds as bad as not having A/C in FL during the summer.

@previous (Auntie Em )
We got the missus a sedan not too long ago, and I thought I would hate it... but then I look at how much we spend on her gas vs my gas, and I like it a little better. Nissans aren't too bad, but I would've preferred a coupe... I think she's still secretly hoping I will suddenly decide that having kids is a grate idea instead of the end of life as we know it. If my power steering is truly jacked, I think I'll say fuck it and get a Jeep. Pretty much everything I've driven has been an SUV. It's time for a change. Although a truck wouldn't be the end of the world either.

But if you had kids, you could send them to school to distribute the satanic coloring book!

Tires cost me over £900 for a set, but that's what happens when you drive a TVR

I would've preferred a coupe as well, but hub picked out a sedan since he'll be driving it. We mainly bought something for the gas mileage savings that was in our price range. I figure we'll save about 100 a month.
I just want something that will pull the boat and camper I wanna buy :D

That would be awesome but... the payoff would take at least 5 yrs and 9 months before they could even start saving souls for Satan. That's almost six years, just to go PTA meeting, and yell at some middle aged women, when/if they tried to expel my kid or remove the materials from the school. Our friends who have kids try to convince me that it's grate, but I look into their soulless dead eyes, and I know the truth.
It could happen, but I hope we have at least a few more years without kids, Satan willing.
@previous (Auntie Em )
I probably spend just a little over twice what she does on gas alone during a regular week. We need to get a hunting lease closer to where we live now. The closet range is an hour away and I'll drive two hours one way just to kill furry woodland creatures in December.
A small boat might be okay but I can see why you'd miss the your truck. Although sacrificing towing capacity temporarily, save a little more than normal, and trade-in your car towards another truck after you purchase your boat/camper. An extra $1200 a year isn't much on either purchase but with whatever you're putting away on top of that it might be doable.

good grate, comrade.
@434,324 (ducks )
Good eye. So the license plate is obscured so now all we've got to go on is a shoe print... definitely boots. The license plate should be around 12'' wide... which means he could be anywhere from a size 11-14 but I'm thinking it's closer to 12 or 13. The shadow in the before picture looks like he may have been wearing sunglasses (safety glasses?) or a hat. It's hard to tell for sure. From the second before photo alone there is a possibility he has horns. The 'Hey TC' is confusing... I'm thinking 'TC' might be an abbreviation or code for something. Traffic collision? Perhaps that's the name of the autobody shop he had the work done at. It could also mean 'take care'. Hmm.
Alas Omen remains an enigma.

I can tell by the pixels or it might just be an assumption, since that's a parking lot of some sort, it's not 100% either way. Of course there being several seemingly recent boot prints of the same style near the tag where you would placed the sign suggests it could be your prints or perhaps those of an accomplice. Or maybe you put those there to intentionally throw me off! Of course there's no way to verify 100% it's your print, but it's a start. I'm going to update my Omen dossier with this being a potential lead.
I've narrowed it down to white American males who wear boots and drive blue trucks. It won't be long until I have your full dox now!

Damn my colorblindness. I see it more, it's a good mix of gray and gray.
Regardless I dig it, I definitely see the green now. It's not quite turquoise... I guess it's aqua?
My current SUV is white (because FL) but if I did get a jeep, I'd want it in matte black but OD or hunter green would be nice too. My SUV's power steering wasn't too big of a fix though, just $200. There goes my excuse to buy a new car.

Nope, apparently it was the rack. Salvaged one off another trailblazer with low miles and got the labor for next to nothing. The mechanic we use is always busy but he's also super cheap compared to what you'd pay at the dealership. He only accepts cash and I'm pretty sure he fibs a little on his taxes but I'm not complaining.
