Damn had no clue about Edison and Universal connection - I did a stint as 1st consultant and then VP for a new product/decision with the ultimate disgusting moniker of DiscoVision aka Laserdisc.
And more Damn - I just reviewed 5 of the top Google hits on Laserdisc and geeeeeesh time lines are fucked up - Key people mentioned as like the two key inventors were long gone years b4 R&D was done and later with product to market - Product failed miserably but 1300 US Patents still exist which cover all CD DVD laser read or write.
