He is obsessed with petty oneupmanship because of an extreme inferiority complex. He also tells lies about surfing, jogging, having two girlfriends, owning millions of dollars worth of property, working for the FBI, being a free climbing mountaineer, fighting in Afghanistan, being close personal friends with the shah of Iran etc etc.He also knows more about Chinese sewers than any sane person should.
