it works reasonably well for touchscreen shit, but otherwise it's full of shit that makes me mad about modern software, specially what trip said about needing to log in for everything, and also it suckes for desktops

people say it's faster but i didn't notice
i'd never choose to use it out of my own will. I'm afraid windows 7 will be the last good OS microsoft will ever make.

Nah it'll probably be like Vista. Vista was probably even worse than linux distros (which are for tinfoil rats) in terms of compatibility and other functions but they realised and truly made it up with 7. Hopefully the same in the next OS they release, if not that, then the one after.

Maybe when companies do their next OS/hardware update in 2021 microsoft will have managed to come up with something that's usable. Until then, all sane people will be using XP or 7.

You realize corporations pushed back and made MS extend corporate support for XP by another year? Some are finally switching to 7, but it's not exactly a willful transition. Don't expect them to adopt a newer version of Windows again any time soon.
