Already done during Nero's time. Nothing like a few thousand immolated martyrs to win public support.

nnnnoo, we're supposed to feed them to lions... but iirc I can only get a permit for mid-sized cats in my state. Ocelots are a possibility. Pricey though... how many ocelots does it take to eat a single average sized religious person in one sitting?

Cute? They're ferocious.

@previous (C)
Then why do some people keep them as
pets?

They are high as fuck.
We're toying with the idea, but I think if we did, maybe a serval or a caracal instead. But it's going to take some doing for it to be
"legal". We definitely don't have the 500-1000hrs of handling experience... yet. Unless, you know, house cats count towards it.

Of course house cats count. There's is nothing more vicious than a perturbed cat.

Excellent, then we can move forward. That specimen appears particularly fierce for a house cat... it took an intrepid photographer to get that shot.
Now we need two references, a 5 ft fence, and to pass some test/examination. We would also need a "CRITICAL INCIDENT/DISASTER PLAN" in place... and I'm assuming some extra insurance.

3 If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord.
4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
5 And he shall kill the bullock before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
6 And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.
7 And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:
8 And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
9 But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.
Leviticus 1
The Lord prefers his meat killed beforehand.

I have it on good authority that the photographer was hospitalized for several weeks afterward.

The damn fool.
The cat even reminds me of another
house cat that sent 3 careless people to a hospital.
