Topic: Why do you have to kill the Jews before burning them?
+Anonymous A — 11.8 years ago #38,341
I always wondered, why did the Nazis gas the Jews before burning them? Wouldn't it just be easier to load them into the incinerator right away? I mean burning would clearly kill them, so why a 2 step process?
I was thinking about some ways on how I'd make a death camp more efficient. One is you have a big concrete room with an exhaust vent, as well as holes for pure oxygen as a catalyst and another hole to fill the room with flammable material. The Jews walk in, you close the hatch, pump the room with oxygen, and then drop in fuel oil or gasoline, and ignite it.
Now if you do need a 2 step process, another idea I had removed the poison gas, since that could be hazardous for the guards to handle. All you need is a big cage and some kind of machine that dunks the cage in water. Hold the cage under for about 10 minutes, and all the Jews will have been drowned. If you want to get really elaborate, you could build a series of cages like in that last part of Half Life 2 in the citadel, so the Jews could see other Jews being ferried along in the cage system, and they could see the drowning pits. I think that would be good since it would really let the fear and anticipation sink into them instead of just suddenly drowning them.
Another idea I had was like how Saddam Hussein apparently had political opponents dropped into plastic shredders. I think the merit of this is you still have biological material that you could use as fertilizer.

Maybe they didn't had the stomach for it. Sure it's nazis and all, but even on a death camp setting, burning people alive is fucked up, a noisy and messy ordeal, much worse than gessing or getting shot.
I think the logistics of a gas shower is simpler than a burning room though. To use fire as a reliable way of mass execution you'd have to use a great of combustives, have a room specially made to resist the temperatures, the risk of the fire spreading, etc. They burned the corpses for hygiene and space reasons, but dousing a hole full of corpses with gasoline and throwing a light on it is much simpler than arranging them to be burned alive.

I read somewhere on the Internet that the holocaust didn't happen.

The "nazi gas chambers" are a bunch of buildings with windows, doors that open from the inside, and basic design so the poison gas would go all over the camps, and kill all the guards.
A modern crematorium takes 8 hours to cremate one body and it doesn't burn the bones. Supposedly the Germans were able to cremate thousands of bodies a day per oven and it was able to burn the bones too.
There's reason why it's illegal to dispute the official story in Europe. It would fall apart.
The jews don't dispute that Anne Frank died of typhus or all the bodies you see piled up in photos died of typhus too, which they acknowledge.

Perhaps Judaism is a sort of virus that can be transmitted when you come into contact with the infected... or their corpses. Still if the nazis let a Jew run the numbers they would have seen the oversight in their methods and utilized more flammenwerfer extermination methods to streamline things.
Years ago there were these monsters called trolls from a satanic role playing game known as D&D (Dungeons and Dildos iirc)... where if you didn't burn the trolls, they would regenerate overtime. Jews may have been the inspiration for the monster in that game.

@OP
The supposed reason was it was easier to trick them into thinking they were just having the usual shower and that way things would go a lot smoother and would be a lot less noisy. Burning as
@427,539 (C) said was for space and hygienic purposes.
