His longtime friend and caretaker Jan described that he was having stomach problems as he very often does, but was terribly yellow looking. He refused Jan's suggestion that they get to the hospital. The next day, Eric was feeling much worse and said to get an ambulance. As the yellow skin suggested, his liver was failing, and also kidneys, but also heart which had been ailing him for years, and I had not heard yet anything more specific.
