Topic: SCOTLAND VOTES NO TO INDEPENDENCE
+Rufus !!MCosknPzP — 11.9 years ago #37,741
Scotland has voted to stay in the United Kingdom after voters decisively rejected independence.
With the results in from all 32 council areas, the "No" side won with 2,001,926 votes over 1,617,989 for "Yes".
Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond called for unity and urged the unionist parties to deliver on more powers.
UK Prime Minister David Cameron said he was delighted the UK would remain together and said the commitments on extra powers would be honoured.
A GREAT RESULT FOR BOTH COUNTRIES

Great for Scotland but perhaps less great for your parents eh
The Prime Minister is facing mounting dissent among English backbenchers after promising to open the Bank of Englad's wallet and buy the votes from the Scotch after he promied them special funding arrangements and will even give Scotland control over its own taxation and spending.
Tony bought the votes and YOUR parents wallets shall open and pay for the Win.
Scotland wins and the rest of you end up loosers LMAO

Sour grapes to the forefront. Syntax, despite your great age and knowledge you have much to learn about the politics of the United Kingdom.

It's called the British Commonwealth now. Once more your ignorance shows that you know little of British politics and economy

You seem happy with the outcome. I openly admit I know nothing of British politics. What have you gained?

Now they can step into the pact against ISIS and the separatists can go fuck themselves for a year or whenever the next vote could come up.

The Brits need the Scots to fight ISIS? Do the Scots even have a fighting force?

No, but the PM was holding out to avoid upsetting the Scots and tipping the vote the other way which would likely destabilize the country when they're busy trying to ascertain the identity of the British turncoat who narrates the beheadings.
