Reminds me- I have a friend who is currently a high level executive of Google Maps- Have not been in contac with him since he hired on at Google and need to do that. Bert knows who friend b as well. Think he wood be shocked to discover such.
Friend even has a spider named after him NOT kidding a for real new discovered Spider a few years ago.

it tells me i reach my destination, now start walking (in the middle of the road)
if i mess up, it doesnt re-route until 5 minutes later or so, and then itll re-route to the road i had passed 4 minutes ago, etc etc etc
it also doesnt update right after i do a turn that it told me to do. wtf? what a piece of shit
very frustrating

Ducky excuse me but did you perhaps think Google Maps is a substitutes for a GPS mapping device?
Few years ago I needed to attend a funeral which was perhaps 15 miles east of me. So I look it up on Map Quest because its a rural area in a farming community. Followed map directions EXCEPT There was no bridge to get across the river on. And after much looking in2 a real map on car called the Thomas guide (current version yet not up2date enough to get me the the new church. Found some kids on bike who told me the way was NOT easy n to rite down directions- They were rite - had to drive about 10 miles just to get a few blocks from where I was and IF only such bridge did exist- IT now does.

Thank you for the memories. When Goolge maps first arrived and allowed a space view of your house...Matthew Miller posted his rented shack in Lafayette, on a forum.
He was unaware that a simple click on the image brought up a full screen version of the image WITH the URL from Google That included his full home address.
Imagine the shock when momentos later his home address and phone number was published and one hour later pizza with triple anchovies and pineapple arrived.
Later empty moving box's, arrived at his step mothers home. We finally ran out of places that wood take orders over the phone for box's. His step mother paid for the first two deliveries.
