GamerGate is an annoying drama scene whereby someone named Zoe Quinn was found out to have gained positive reviews for whatever game she developed in an exhange whereby various men access her sexually on an ongoing basis, much to the dismay of the fellow who used to be her boyfriend. Her response to criticism was to adopt the currently gimmicky phrases and language of a form of pop-feminism that has become dominant in public discourse for some reason, casting herself as the victim and as part of an overall fight for women in gaming against the supposed vile male masses that are supposed to dominate the gaming world. An intellectually lazy and generally silly news media we have, particularly the ones specializing in gaming reportage, have been seen as badly covering the story to point of being belligerent and insulting to the general game-playing public, a public that apparently that media have not noticed is almost the same thing as the general public these days anyway from what I can tell. Don't games do billions of dollars in business now? It's not just some MIT dude simulating tennis on an oscilloscope anymore.

I don't care about what today's gamers get mad about. All I know is that every gaming site is garbage and the only good developers are out of business.
