Topic: Now Lets talk about that W.H.O. Bullshit

+Justin Igger 11.9 years ago #37,511

The W.H.O. is the Medical branch of the U.N.

If you missed the fact that the U.N. is Anti-America and Socialistic, you probably haven't been paying attention. The W.H.O. report that certain aging liberals recently cited reflect this fact in every way.

Any statistics gathered to compare any two things must consider all factors to make a reasonable comparison and that comparison must be made without preconception or prejudice. That is EXACTLY what the W.H.O. report on the U.S. medical system DID NOT DO!

I'll cover the most blatant examples in comparing the U.S. system vs the rest of the worlds industrialized nations.

Infant mortality: The WHO report score the U.S. lower than any industrialized nation in this area but fails to measure it by the same criteria. In the U.S. any infant born with a single heart beat is considered a live birth. This is not true of most European countries. In France and Germany for example, a certain length, weight and period of gestation are required for an infant to be considered a live birth. More low birth weights occur in the U.S. because fertility drugs are far more commonly used in the U.S. which results in more multiple births and more premature births which produces far more low birth weights which is the leading factor in infant mortality.
When the U.S. is measured vs the world in infant mortality with the same gestation, length and weight, the U.S. comes in tied with Sweden and Norway for the Lowest infant mortality rate.

Life Expectancy: The U.S. has the most extensive highway system in the world, the largest Active Military and the highest number of people who engage in high risk
pastimes. The W.H.O. simply took the average age of death from all causes combined and reported that American's live shorter lives. But the fact is that War and misadventures result in a higher percentage of deaths among our young people which brings down the average life expectancy. It's not Medical care or the lack of it. Anyone avoiding military combat and high risk activities in the U.S. can expect a life span equal most any industrialized nation.

Availability of Healthcare: This is the most telling factor in the entire W.H.O. report and the most BOGUS piece of BULLSHIT.
The criteria had nothing at all to do with either quality or availability of medical care concerning either normal medical care or Trauma. The entire criteria was based on whether the patient PAYS for the Treatment or the Treatment is part of a Government Program. In short, if you go to a clinic with an inflamed appendix and a Witch Doctor shakes a rattle over your abdomen to drive out the evil spirit, you are getting better "Health Care" than in a U.S. hospital in the W.H.O.'s opinion because "You Didn't Have To Pay the WITCH DOCTOR".

If you doubt Any of this, Check the Facts.
