I get a knock on the door, and of course my dogs go nuts. I can see a woman and young girl standing on my porch through the glass. I open the door just wide enough to put my face through while the hounds are going fucking nuts behind me.
The adult woman smiles at me, then looks down expectantly at her daughter. Her daughter (who isn't more than 7) starts to hand me a pamphlet and mumbles something about "worship" and "church".
My cue to let the door open a little wider giving the dogs heads just enough room to get around my legs and out the door, whereupon I feign panic that my dogs are going to eat said bible thumpers.
The ensuing panic was priceless.
My good deed for the day: This child will now associate jehovah witness prosyletizing with snarling, barking dogs that are out to eat her. With luck her door-to-door adventures are over for life.
