From this, we can deduce he considers his parents (who, logically, have children) to have "unfulfilling lives, no education, and no careers".

Questions for discussion:

Does this anger towards his parents explain so much about Mark's psychology? His raging jealousy of happy children, and his glee at their being abused? His sexualization of children, and his hatred of innocence? The willful dehumanization of himself, unable to relate to the usual modes of human communication? His teeth?
