£250 for 5 hours work. Lighting 3 bands doing very short set for tv, small lighting rig so its easy. I finished my programing and currently sitting in a chair drinking a beer while they film interviews.

More photos. Could look up but u said a bit back that those monster ultra high KW lamps were being replaced by LED's
Any that match the big spots you guys use.

Depends how big. Most led's only put out about 250w to 400w so if you're lighting a huge event you'll stick with arc bulbs that put out 1200w plus.
I'm not using any led today because cameras don't like them.

Later as I am making a list of stuff to research I will look at the spectral issues of Led's n cameras. Currently Led in arrays for home use have different types inside a bulb to create the proper spectrum - but I imagine when scaled up for 400 W equiv light output that might be a problem.
After they were invented and I had a need for them but not as a light source you could view - I had my order in for ones off the line from the first batch. Used them as internal light sources to drive a photocell in a closed sealed capsule - Isolated feedback loop phase lock loop stuff. Prior to that it was regular light bulbs which were speed limiting in the loops -
Ah memories - this one will make you smile- I at tyme was doing some special spook spy electronics for work - a good buddy who was chief engineer for a monster 50 KW set of radio transmitters in town - he had a best friend of Liberace. Infamous for wearing glammer/glitter tuxs. Liberace wanted to light up and my buddy asked me to provide an array of LEDs that wood also be programed to spell out his name and light up his life on stage.
I declined that outside work which I needed cause US Gov spy work is fun exciting n more but its also not a high paying thing when you work for US Gov. So I took lots of outside design stuff but just could not C me doing Liberace stuff - Did a pacemaker for heart design (just one subsection of that design) instead to fill somewot empty wallet

You know Matt Millers half brother is a lighting tech like me. I always wondered if I would bump into someday as it's such a small industry
