If you pay $5000 for a burger, you're doing it wrong.

The meal also comes with a bottle of 1995 vintage Chateau Petrus (around $2,000 a bottle) and Ichendorf Brunello glasses ($75 a pair).

1989 Lafite Rothschild currently sells for $2562 at discount retail. In a restaurant add $500 to $1000
Henry Ford II was infamous for all of his lunches with a Lafite and hamburger made from pure ground Filet Mignon. I had a butcher grind one for me so I could check that out.
Butcher warned me it wood be very dry and it sure was - plus not all that tasty and it was a class act meat joint. No I did not open a Lafite but could have - Had a very expensive California Cabernet Sauvignon
Lots n lots of wines sell for wayyyyyy over $2000/bottle

Lots of people smoke too.
Why don't I just buy cheap wine and stick it in my basement for a couple decades?

LOLOLOLOL
Fact is that such a simple grape when planted in the rite place and how much sun it gets and water it does not get so easy - very complex stuff that creates a grape that when handled with love n care - I could rite a book if I could rite which I as you no ain't so much so good at.
Been to France and watched how much trouble they go to in growing oak various Oaks and then how they turn them into Barrels just to age the juice. And sometimes its not wood or wood and stainless steel or a one only - Very complex stuff for something so simple on paper on turning juice of fruit in2 a fyne beverage.
Deal is wayyyyyy back and not having a clue about a fyne wine - I remember that moment in a restaurant. Was celebrating something with a gal and this dude comes over with a cup on chain on neck .Sommelier. Having no clue wot that was all about he asked wot we wanted for the wine for meal. So I said wot do you suggest and he said it can depend on wot I want to spend. I said - Hey you Pick wot you think we need. He smiled and left
That was one of the very best decisions I have made in my life - He brought a bottle and we tasted it - Were shocked at first taste - Was beyond anything we had tasted from a glass - Cost was not so bad and later when looking in a shop for that wine I discovered he gave it to us at wholesale cost - He wanted to educate us and damn he sure did.
Red Creme you2 should find a place that offers samples of fyne wines and give it a try.

Who the fuck pays this much for a burger that is probably no different than one you can get elsewhere?

In N' Out is pretty damn good, but I personally prefer to make burgers at home.

They probably use beef only restaurants can buy. Aged beef. Doubt you will ever see aged beef in your hood. So even if you wanted to prepare that burger the way they do? Forget about it. No I have never had a burger that would cost over $25 in a restaurant. Can imagine its possible to shock my taste buds into ecstasy if a chef wanted to.
@previous (Catherine !TGirlYJKXM)
Same here and during the right summer months, I can get heirloom tomatoes and unique onions, but I admit I have never asked a butcher in the last decade, to grind hamburger meat to my specifications.

Unfortunately, I rarely ever have burgers on a grill.
They've always been cooked in an oven.

Do like cavewoman did. Put sharp stick in meat. Hold meat over fire. Char till done.
