I am leaving these forums, for real, and I will not be back. The reason is that there is some sort of weird, herd, mob mentality here, and many angry, bored expats who are very rude and negative all the time. Take from that what you want. Goodbye for good this time, and I hope you are happy now that you no longer have to hear contrary opinions.
You can compare and see the expat has been edited out to fit
Given many enjoy the lulz of a view of what goes on there - someone did copypasta - You can be sure with mods here vigilant - Matt does try to post and they catch it and whack it very quickly. His VPN is easy to spot.

I think you're more interested in wasting people's time than gastronomy.
Then only a year later its discovered that 50 Tons of cooking oil has been recovered from Sewers and now there are 250,000 individual business providing Sewage oil to Chinese restaurants and stores and so far only about 7 have been busted by Gov.
Gastronomy. In China expats say
Diarrhea is pretty much rampant here due to a combination of unsanitary conditions and spiciness.
Dysentery and food poisoning is very common.
Finally, truth be told, if you stay in Kunming long enough, you no longer consider diarrhea to be an illness, just another part of eating out.
I have been sicker here from the food than any other city in China.
I'm looking to get out of this town as soon as possible. I've never seen a place deteriorate so fast. At the moment, Kunming is the most unlivable place I've ever lived in.
After a nasty bout of food poisoning, I am a little fearful of going out to eat at local establishments again.

U made me run to Wiki to remind self about the complex process of Cheese and you're correct. That said Bacterias of a special selection are used in the making process in some cases and Yes indeed they do not impart any flavor - they move the process along and everything else does end up as bottom line flavor.
I like the old Youtube where he demonstrated how to cook a curry dish. Damn fool had no clue that in India they do not pour contents from a can marked Curry to make a curry dish.

LOL er no no - I have two versions of Sticky/Postitnotes/ inside my computer. I have to write the note then open up the case n insert the note and later retrieve it and then type all text on keyboard - long arduous process.
One day someone will cum up with small program I can install.
