Sure sure just as you said you did from Hug. Its easy to see how you changed your mind faster then a girl with womb changes her tampons.
Just trying to point out the
facts of life
ANYWAY Wot you should really do is play a bit with the coding to extend your programing skills. You could even come up with some neat features and then offer that software up to others and get paid for training on install n use. Several people are making good full tyme money peddling similar software for mostly Church uses and has a nice sized staff on salary. Kinda niche market but some say religion and money go well 2gether.

Using Logic 101 on them usually does not work out so good in chans.

I'd have to learn mySQL and PHP first.
I sometimes question if my mind is right for programming.

Have been surrounded by 10,000+ programers work wise n very few had minds suited for programming.
They knew it I knew it Management no's it yet work is accomplished and huge amounts of money are made by everyone.

I think what makes me question is that it's tough for me to remember every rule involved in programming thus why I decided to make some posts using such languages as if they were a written language.
·Syntax — 12.2 years ago, 9 minutes later, 2 hours after the original post[T] [B] #408,670
@previous (Cathy Constantine !TGirlYJKXM)
None of those I work with remember more then the basic rules. They all use reference material and even cook books. There are companies that try and get every programmer to use the same language for a project. On the other hand a company I do a ton of work with and used to work for - Any language that works for an individual is mostly allowed and then even more people find a way to parse it all in2 working order. Then a bunch of PERL is used to fix dis and dat quickly.
I end up with a box controlled by such a mess and have to read that code and damn do I get bogged down in the parsed shit. I end up using a cook book to add PERL to fix some hardware glitch and some programmer will tell me there was a better solution - I then point out ok but how come those that do it for a living failed to make it work a-ok.
Usually I just get a blank stare.

Do most companies prefer Python?
·Syntax — 12.2 years ago, 12 minutes later, 2 hours after the original post[T] [B] #408,678
@previous (Cathy Constantine !TGirlYJKXM)
I not being a programmer as I R Hardware Engineer that ends up having my Hardware controlled by software R the last person to ask what percent of companies use it in total.
But looking around at boxes from a wide range of other companies that all hook together to make a system I use - I mean there is C C++ PERL Ruby Pascal Java and stuff I have no clue wot its about - I do no company I used to work for has lots of openings for programmers who specialize in Python.

r/Perl also seems to confirm that all of the Perl jobs seem to require speciality in Python due to some company's preference for it.

I get invited into a lot of meetings to be there just as spectator - So its really simple. New Program with a Program manager who has a schedule to meet with a hard core target date. Got to get product to market almost faster then speed of light n I am not joking. Impossible goals.
So the project is split up and at the GetGo some uniform programming language is agreed on. So say they agree to use Python but of course the room is filled with programmers who are more comfortable in say C++. They have learned just enough Python to start out in sync with the rest of team.
Then that day comes quickly were project is off schedule - THAT ALWAYS HAPPENS NO EXCEPTIONS EVER. So a C++ guy says YES I know it will take more lines of code and go a little slower but a bunch of us can do C++ faster and get you back on schedule but hey Program/Project manager we will do as you say.
Program/Project manager does not want to be the person jamming up the off schedule program so they say - Do what you have to - get this monster back on track. Along comes a bit of Perl and then more spliced-parsed in and after a while its always the same - Road paved with good intentions but road blocks and detours.
And let me toss this in. Race care design mentality - Your car my car may not win a race but it gets the job done. Race care fine tuned to win a race may but it sure will not go 150,000 miles - More like lucky to make it 10 hours - Program managers want Race car Program designs so run tyme is minimized as well of course if its hand held device the shorter program that does more also uses less battery power. But it does not make it to market in tyme all that falls by the roadside.
And my experience covers more then one company in San Diego - I spent a year with Ericsson in Sweden and stuff which is all I can say in Canberra Australia which was black boxes made by just about every key company in spy technology and looking at software was based on comment notes inside the program - A riot to read.
