wat no i mean all four years put together come to $32'000, approximately. uni tends to be about $8'000 a year.

and you're going to medical school you say?
> uni tends to be about $8'000 a year.
no, sorry, it doesn't. I went to a university (that wasn't even a state school) and I still owe to the tune of 30,000 dollars for a bachelors, imagine that. This was after using financial aid (which I only ended up getting maybe 40% of all what I applied for)

Whoops sorry I was under the impression you were studying medicine, that sounds much more logical.
I'm really happy though that what I owe isn't near as much as what some people I know of (friend ended up going to law school, never passed bar, still owes 200k and even with the job he has now (probation officer I think?) he will most likely never pay it off but I think his parents are loaded anyways)
also before anyone asks: computer science
could be worse though you could be studying 'liberal arts' or a history major which are total wastes of time but seems to be what people go to college for now, the concept of people majoring in liberal arts is fucking scary

Canada, silly! It's getting more expensive but still nowhere near what it is in the states.
@previous (tommy tootough !W0sCDjViag)
Oh, that's shite, I'm sorry. It's a bad situation all around.

you're so lucky

kind of? I mean he went to a pretty great school but picked a bad time to do it seeing as the moment he graduated the law bubble burst, the only reason I studied computer science is because it was what I was good at and it had the most prospects (for me anyways) for getting a job right after I graduated, I wanted to work for google when I first started but seeing what they've become I'm glad I dodged that bullet, plus i didn't want to get tied to silicon valley douches, plus ive been to san francisco and I fucking hate it, been to LA as well and thats even worse. Getting ready to relocate and start a new job in pittsburgh sometime next year so im pretty excited for that, pittsburgh is pretty cool as is philadelphia and I'd even go as far as to say that as a whole the east coast is much better than the west coast. I know people who work in LA and they're constantly trying to get me to pick up work there and the fact that they can say that they enjoy it makes me fucking laugh in their face, its worse than nyc (nyc as fine as long as you stay away from manhattan or BRKLYNNNNN)
I really just wanna go to another country though, canada seems cool (weed) and the weather seems nice, though I might just end up going to washington if I decide that PA isn't for me, the whole reason im going is because pittsburgh is having a HUGE tech boom right now and honestly it seems like nyc but way less shittier, went down there last year to scope it out and seemed pretty great, im a fan of shitty weather though so im eyeing washington as well (also cause weed)

Washington is really cute. It's not much different from BC, so take your pick.

bc also seems ridiculously fucking expensive as well, I know a few people that live there that are saying they are playing close to 2000 dollars a month for a shitty 2 bedroom in the hood (house); and thats a big turnoff for me.

Housing is very expensive. That's your caveat. Most other things are fine.
