Why is 110 miles per week on my bicycle too much for me when a 70+ year old dude can do almost 3000 miles in less than 12 days?

Now I feel weak given I only do 70 miles in a week = 84 miles in 12 days running.
I think the most miles in one day on a bike was 80 and that was maybe 4 tymes a year loooooong ago
