In all honesty, I wasn't the one who discovered Mark Hefford on YouTube. Someone else got Bobby2sox's IP from Fuchs, and then told me his theory that it was Mark Hefford. He was familiar with Hefford from YouTube.

Initially, I wasn't convinced at all. The guy who told me about this Hefford thing isn't exactly a reliable source, But a friend of mine and I decided to post about it on here anyway to test the water a bit. Bobby2sox reaction was so dynamite that I instinctively felt the information was right and Bobby is indeed Hefford.

I sympathise with people who aren't interested in this. There are a LOT of threads on the board about this.

I posted this in an unpopular thread, and I don't want anyone to miss it. Here's a quick rundown of the evidence linking Mark Hefford to the poster known as "Bobby2sox"

Mark Hefford lives in Salford, Manchester UK
Bobby2sox's IP has been confirmed to be located in Salford, Manchester, UK

Mark Hefford was persecuted and trolled by a random YouTube autist called AspergianStar9000
Bobby2sox makes a post confirming that he is familiar with random YouTube autist AspergianStar9000, and has a grudge against him.

Mark Hefford is a man in his 30's pretending to be a darling little English schoolboy online.
Bobby2sox is also a man in his 30's pretending to be a darling little English schoolboy online. He claims there is a perfectly good explanation for this wild coincidence, yet refuses to give it.

As soon as the Mark Hefford stuff started being posted, Bobby2sox started posting in a very unusual fashion, and he really seemed to be flailing around, although he has regained his composure a bit.

Then you have more circumstantial evidence, which on its own wouldn't be convincing but when you add it to the above makes it all the more compelling, such as:

Mark Hefford is a huge Dr. Who sperg
Bobby2sox is a huge Dr. Who sperg

Mark Hefford is a lonely, isolated guy
Bobby2sox long history of extremely extensive posting would suggest he's a lonely and isolated guy.

Mark Hefford makes videos about internet trolling using a specific type of terminology
Bobby2sox also has that terminology in his vocabulary and uses it extensively

Honestly, I don't have an axe to grind with either Bobby2sox or Mark Hefford, but the evidence seems too compelling to ignore. It's also worth noting that Bobby hasn't provided a convincing rebuttal of any kind, he's simply accused those presenting the evidence as all being The Doctor, or claimed to have a perfectly reasonable explanation for all the incredible coincidences that he refuses to give out.

I'm unconvinced Mark Hefford is Bobby. For example, on Mark Hefford's Facebook page there is a post on his wall about making people mad by posting "infuriatingly repetitive" images on internet boards. Also, Mark Hefford's FB page reveals him to be a member of many Dr Who fan clubs, and has several pictures of Chris Ecclestone (the same pictures that The Doctor posts here). Further, within minutes of the Doctor showing up on this site yesterday and reading the thread about Mark Hefford's Facebook page, stuff started getting deleted from Mark Hefford's Facebook page, and his friends list was hidden. Furthermore, Mark Hefford's Facebook page says he is located in Salford, the same place where 3 different sources (counting tonight's post by the mod on MC) say The Doctor is located according to his IP.

I'm not saying you're wrong. Maybe it is Bobby. I'm just saying I'm unconvinced. Either way, there really is no reason to be taking all this so seriously. I'm off for now, maybe catch you after the weekend. Ciao!
