I see from your Facebook page you're a huge fan of chess (doesn't surprise me one bit), and also of classic cinema.

So, I'm presuming you've seen Ingmar Bergman's Biblical-inspired 1957 masterpiece, The Seventh Seal, in which a disillusioned, nihilistic man (i.e you) encounters Death, the being which threatens his annihilation (i.e me), and challenges him to a game of chess, believing he can forestall his demise as long as the game continues.

I'm presuming further you know of 'correspondence chess', where moves are written down and played by people who never meet.
