Back as a kiddlet I used to make my own Nitroglycerine (By kinda lame remote control) Stings n ropes to a wagon in a field -
To make Dynamite I used Tampons. Did not have the nerve to buy them myself as teen so I got my most fav cousin to buy a box for me. I told her it was 4 a science experiment cause she wood have said no If I mentioned I was going to use them for explosives.

13-14 forget exactly. There is a back story to this that starts off with a microscope. Some other tyme n Bert has read it 2many tymes
Anyway I was prepared to tell her the truth and find another way. She just said ok but did ask me why don't you go to store and buy it yourself and I said ARE YOU KIDDING?
I had multiple plans for the resulting Dynamite but at the tyme one of my plans failed to work and writing this I Wonder Y I did not think of a work around to make that Tampon loaded with Nitro juice work as planned for first use.
Long story but eventually one day I came home from school with living room filled with FBI and no place to sit - Just lucky they were not at all interested in me making explosives. They had bigger fish to fry.
