Topic: Firefox 29

Who here uses Firefox and do you like the new update?

+Anonymous B12.3 years ago, 5 minutes later[T] [B] #396,939

I'm still on 27.0.1
Honestly the version numbers are getting a bit out of hand. Either set harder goals that will take more time to achieve, or maybe just let the net develop more and patch some bugs, work on improving some of the extensions out there, etc.

I wish they would've kept the javascript toggle in the settings menu.

Firefox 29 made me switch to Chrome after 11 years of using Mozilla browsers.

@396,939 (B)
The quick release schedule was introduced so Firefox could keep up with all the new web standards and it's definitely a good thing.

Opera is pretty decent for how small it is.

I heard many people were disappointed when they tossed out their rendering engine for webkit.

not really, every time firefox updates for whatever insignificant reason at least half its extensions break, and extensions are firefox, without them its internet explorer-tier at best.

... though with opera becoming a reskinned chrome it becomes the only browser with actual adblocking
